Happy Father's Day

Greg's 1st Father's Day!

We woke up early this morning (nothing unusual), Josh had his bottle and then Greg made a wonderful pancake breakfast. I know, I know, it makes me sound like a horrible wife for making Greg cook breakfast on Father's Day, however, I want everyone to know that I offered to cook and Greg said no. For those who don't know Greg is a pancake making perfectionist. Yummy!

After breakfast we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. It was very nice, however, very hot - and it was only 8 am! We then went to church and lunch with the family. Great Day!

Two more milestones to talk about...

I can’t stand how fast my baby is growing. He is starting to get very determined about things and knows what he wants. Not that we can always tell what he wants – it is still a guessing game of trial and error. One thing I do know is that he doesn’t like baby jail (a/k/a pack-n-play) unless he is asleep. He wants the freedom to be able to move around if he chooses.

1st New Milestone: Greg lowered his crib this week and he is no longer sleeping solely on his back. He prefers to sleep on his left side, however, some times I find him on his stomach. I can’t wait until he gets use to the freedom of moving in his sleep without waking himself up. We’ve had many nights in the past week or so where Greg and I have had to get up a lot. I have to admit that I cherish that quality time in the middle of the night just rocking with my little man.

2nd milestone: We THINK Josh went from rolling around on the floor to sitting up on his own. Greg said one minute he was playing around on the floor rolling around and when he looked at him a moment later he was sitting up by himself. Grant it, we haven't seen it since, so I know he didn't do it on purpose. That just means he will figure it out soon.
One more thing...Josh just figured out that if he blows raspberries and moves his fingers up and down over his lips it makes a cool sound. He's been doing it all weekend!
Daddy and Josh having fun.
