Or should that title be “Josh survived…” I can’t believe our little man is in preschool. And what a brave, big boy he was this morning. Greg and I walked him into his class room and he immediately went straight for the toys. We were the first to arrive in his class, however, another little boy arrived shortly after us and he and Josh started to play right away. As they were playing I got out his things (snack, sippy cup and diaper) and put them in the bins and then put is back in his cubby. After all of that was done, Greg and I walked over to give him hugs and kisses good-bye and he said “sit and play with me”…I immediately thought leaving was going to be an issue. I simply told him that Ms. Gracie was going to sit and play with him and his new friend and that Grandma would pick him up after school and that he would have fun. Much to my excitement, he turned around and continued playing while Greg and I exited the room. Whew! I was so afraid that he was going to get upset when we left, however, he acted like an old pro.
Grandma reported that he talked about preschool and how much fun he had the whole way to Dina and Bill's. Dina reported that he was exhausted and had a great nap.
Of course I took pictures to document his first day of school:
On the way to school
Walking down the hall to find his classroom
He is in the Goldfish Room
His new backpack
His cubby
Playing with his new friend Thomas
