3 Years Old!

Blogger has been acting weird for some time now and I haven't been able to post!  I think I have fixed the problem so here is a LONG over due update:

Three years ago, in October, our family of two became three. Greg and I have literally grown up together and I really can’t remember life without him. NOW, I can’t remember or even imagine our life without our little boy. Josh brings so much joy to our lives and I can’t believe he is already 3!

Growing like a weed:

At his 3 year check up we discovered that he is now terrified to have the doctor look inside his ears. Greg had to bear hug him as he was screaming to let the doctor take a look. I felt horrible! A few weeks prior to his check-up, we had to take him in because he had a sore throat and they did a strep test and that experience was a little traumatic. I think that was in the back of his mind while we were at this appointment. Here are his stats:

Weight: 36.5 (75 - 90 %)
Height: 38 7/8" (75%)
BP: 92/48 (I have no idea what is normal for his age)
Vision: 20/40 (however I'm not sure how they came up with this number because he didn't want to cooperate after the first eye)

We had a few of his friends and the family over to our house, on his birthday, for a party. We had a bounce house, piñata and pizza! I think everyone had a great time and Josh really enjoyed his birthday.

He loves school! I really hope this continues to be a trend for many years to come.  We are still working on the potty training and it is MUCH better. He finally got his picture on the Potty Train at school and was very proud of himself, as are we.

His class celebrated his birthday on Monday, October 24 and I got to go to the party! He didn’t know I was coming and so when I walked through the door, seeing the look on his face was priceless. It was so much fun! The kids get to help bake their own birthday cake and then the class gets to eat a piece and sing “Happy Birthday”.

Christmas was so much fun this year!  Josh was into it and the sparkle in his eye was priceless as he walked down the steps to find what Santa had left.

SOUND THE HORNS...Friday, December 30, 2011, Josh tossed his last binky (which broke) in the trash! I can't believe it. I'm pleased to announce that the recovering binky addict never looked back and is doing great!  So proud of my BIG boy!

The ending to 2011 was uneventful, but good.  I'm looking forward to what 2012 holds for our family.
