Josh turned 4 – October 22, 2012
My sweet little boy is not so little anymore, but will ALWAYS be my baby. He is smart, energetic, loving, emotional and so much fun! I never knew what love was until he entered the world and filled my heart more than I ever knew was possible. We celebrated his birthday a few weeks early due to the fact that I was VERY pregnant, tired and uncomfortable. I didn’t want to risk having the party too late in October and me possibly missing it due to Bailey’s arrival. So we had friends and family to the house to celebrate and it was so much fun.
On Josh’s actual birthday we celebrated by having a pizza picnic at the park – Josh’s choice! I also took Spider Man cupcakes to school to share with his friends.
We visited Dr. Shreve for his 4 year check up and of course Josh is just perfect in every way!
His stats:
Weight: 43.6 (90%)
Height: 42 1/8" (75-90%)
BP: 78/56
Vision: 20/40
On October 25, 2012 we became a family of Four!
Bailey Michele was born at 8:21 am weighing 8lbs 6oz and 21 inches long. She is beautiful and perfect in every way and she has a head full of strawberry blond hair. I had a rough end (the last 3 months) to my pregnancy and I couldn’t wait for her arrival. I have to admit I was terrified just days before my scheduled c-section. I’m sure you’ve heard the statement “ignorance is bliss”, and certainly that applies to child birth. With Josh, I didn’t know what to expect so I just showed up when I was told and was super excited to meet him. This time, I knew what to expect and it scared me to death. Of course I couldn’t wait to meet my baby girl, but I was still freaking out at the thought of going through the c-section.
I was so happy when I was finally able to hold her in my arms. It’s a moment a parent will always remember. My heart grew even more that day – bigger than I ever imagined possible. Motherhood is wonderful, challenging and the BEST job ever!
I am often asked “how has it been going from 1 child to 2?”….to be honest, it’s as if Bailey has always been a part of our family. It really hasn’t been hard at all. Now, ask me that question again when she is mobile and both her and Josh are going in two different directions, I may have a different answer.
Bailey’s Milestone Highlights – so far
6 weeks – started sleeping through the night. I am fairly certain that this would have been even sooner if the doctors had not made us wake her every 2-3 hours to feed her. The girl likes to sleep!
8 weeks – her beautiful, contagious smile appeared.
5 months – really started to roll over both back-front and front-back
6 months – moved to a big girl car seat and sat in a big girl highchair in a restaurant
6.5 months – first pigtails
7 months – her first time swinging at the park
7.5 months – sitting up on her own, finally interested in food!

T-Ball
Josh just finished up his first season of T-ball. It was cute, caotic, amusing and fun. They basically all hit the ball and run only one base at a time. No outs and no score. At this point, they are basically just learning the fundamentals of baseball.
