I’ve been a bad blogger…

I have had a busy week and haven’t had the time to blog, but I thought I would update everyone on this weeks happenings.

There have been too many milestones met in the past week for me to handle. Last Friday, after our dinner with Melissa and Andy, we stopped by Grandma and Grandpa Anchor’s for a visit. As you know Josh has been trying to crawl for a while now. Well that night he started doing somewhat of an army crawl! Don’t get me wrong he didn’t really GO anywhere, but he did move a bit. I’m not really sure he’s done it since then, but nonetheless he did it that one time - - and that’s good enough to get Mommy recognition.

Also, our big boy has rapidly outgrown his infant car seat. Therefore, we purchased his new Big Boy car seats for each of our cars last weekend. Hopefully now he will be more comfortable and safe! Oh I almost forgot that he started to sit on his own as well. We are so proud of our little guy.

Josh and I attended Cousin Tiffany’s bridal shower on Saturday and saw some family that we haven’t seen in a while. It was so nice to catch up with everyone. I have to thank Cousin Taresa for ALL of the baby clothes for Josh. It is so nice that we can share resources within the family.

Monday Josh had his six month follow-up visit with the cardiologist. Good news! They can no longer hear the heart murmur through the stethoscope, however, they can see it on the ultrasound. It is still there, but it is closing. Great news. So everyone should know how much of a planner I am and that I’m always prepared. Well not Monday. I completely forgot to pack a bottle when we left for the doctor’s appointment. We had already seen the doctor, however, we were still waiting to get the ultrasound done when Josh hit the point of no return. He was SO hungry! I did happen to have a single serving to-go package of formula in his bag, however, I didn’t have a bottle to put it in. So Greg asked the nurse if we could have a cup and spoon, from their coffee area, and we mixed the formula and spoon feed it to Josh. It wasn’t completely successful, however, it did calm him down long enough to get the ultrasound done. There is a pediatricians office in the same building a few floors down and our nurse was nice enough to call them to see if they had any formula they could give to us. They did! They were nice enough to give us 2 2oz mini bottles. Hopefully I will never forget the bottle again.

Stats: Josh is now 19 lbs 1 oz and 27 3/4 inches.

As everyone knows times are tough for a lot of people right now. Yesterday, my employer announced a reorganization of the company and many people lost their jobs. Fortunately, I was not one of them. I count my blessings every day that I’m still employed.
