HAPPY NEW YEAR!

1. Please allow me to acknowledge how delinquent I have been in updating this blog. I AM SO FIRED! LOL What can I say, other than I have had a lot going on. In the New Year I will TRY to be better.

2. Since the last time I wrote we spent Thanksgiving with both sides of the family. It was so nice to visit with everyone and of course we ate way too much.

3. CHRISTMAS! Oh how much fun we had this year with Josh. He really got into believing in Santa – we event went to see Santa (aka Pa) 3 times this year. Maybe I was making up for last year not having gone at all, I don’t know. We left Santa cookies and milk and Josh thought it was great that we only found crumbs on the plate and the glass of milk empty the next morning. He was a bit overwhelmed with all of the presents and didn’t even want to open them all. Maybe I shopped a little too much this year! It was so much fun I really couldn’t stop myself.

4. IT’S A NEW YEAR! We strive to live a healthier life in 2011 and lead by example when teaching Josh good choices when it comes to food. I wouldn’t say I get worked up by too much when it comes to parenting, but one thing that is very important to me is the food that Josh eats. I think it’s because I’ve struggled with my weight my entire life and I don’t want Josh to ever have to deal with that. If we can set the foundation now, hopefully he will be able to make good decisions as he grows. I will run my first 10K in April. Yikes! I have to admit, I’m a little intimidated by the training schedule and the task ahead. However, Greg is doing it with me and together we will cross the finish line….maybe just a little slow. :-) I’ll keep you posted on how it’s going.
