VICTORIES

We have had huge victories this week with Josh…
Bedtime
For the longest time, Greg and I (one of us) would lay down with Josh at night until he fell asleep and then sneak out of his room. BAD HABIT! And when I say “longest time” I mean around 1 ½ - 2 years. He was great when he was younger, we could just go through our bedtime routine and then put him in his crib, kisses good night and then close the door - - he would fall asleep on his own and we wouldn’t hear from him until the morning. I’m not exactly sure what changed and when, but that brings us to last night. Last night we somehow convinced him to lay down by himself and listen to some soft music while he fell asleep. I put in one of his CD’s on low, we kissed him goodnight and we didn’t hear from him again until this morning!!!!! I did go check on him before we went to sleep and he had gotten out of bed and put several of his animals in bed with him. This is HUGE! I’m so proud of him. Hopefully this will continue.
Poop!

He finally gets it. He’s been semi potty trained for a about a year now, however, he wouldn’t poop in the potty. For the longest time he would just go in his pants and that made for a big mess.....then he began to tell us he needed to go and would ask for a pull-up. I don’t know what changed, but for the past two weeks he has been pooping in the potty and he’s so proud of himself! Our baby is growing up!
